Getting here

Yellowstone starts with the entrance you choose.

Bozeman, Jackson, Cody, Idaho Falls, Billings, West Yellowstone, Gardiner, and Cooke City all create different first days. Pick the entrance that supports your actual route.

Bozeman / Gardiner

Strong for north entrance, Mammoth, Paradise Valley, and wildlife-leaning trips.

West Yellowstone

The simplest west-side gateway for many first-timers and family trips.

Jackson / Grand Teton

Best for a longer two-park road trip; do not treat it as a casual Yellowstone commute.

Cody / east entrance

Scenic and useful for lake or canyon-side plans, but it changes the trip shape.

Beartooth / northeast entrance

Beautiful, seasonal, and exceptional for Lamar Valley plans when roads cooperate.
